INDIANAPOLIS, August 6, 2018 – Langham Logistics, Inc., a global freight transportation and warehousing business, announced today that the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) in association with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has granted certification to Langham as a Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB). Langham has been a certified woman-owned business for many years, and this additional certification is specific to government business.

When signed into law by former President Clinton in 1994, the U.S. Small Business Act was amended to include a goal that 5% of all large government contracts should be awarded to women-owned businesses. More than 2 decades later, only 4% of contracts are being apportioned due to a low number of women-owned businesses in male-dominated fields such as logistics, tech and construction.
As a WOSB-certified business, Langham Logistics can now gain access to these federal government contract opportunities for women-owned businesses as part of the SBA’s WOSB Federal Contracting Program.
