LANGHAM LOGISTICS NOW C-TPAT CERTIFIED

INDIANAPOLIS– Langham Logistics has announced that they are now a certified partner in the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) program. By becoming a certified partner, Langham Logistics agrees to protect the supply chain, identify security gaps, and implement specific security measures and best practices to safeguard the world’s vibrant trade industry from terrorists and to help maintain the economic health of the United States and its neighbors.

C-TPAT is a voluntary, joint government-business partnership to help add to supply chain and increase border security. The program began in 2001, and today, there are more than 10,000 certified companies.

“Becoming C-TPAT certified has been a part of our strategic initiative for quite some time,” said Cathy Langham, president and CEO of Langham Logistics. “We’ve always had strong partnership with U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and we are glad we can do our part to strengthen the international supply chain and trade community.”

U.S. Customs and Border Protection established the C-TPAT validation process as a direct result of the tragic events on September 11, 2001 to ensure that the security measures declared in a participant’s C-TPAT security profile are effective.
